Electro-acoustic-Natural-Industrial sounds and expressions via kinetic sculpture and fabricated instruments. Worcester, Massachusetts, usa, is an industrial city with many nerds, blue-collar workers, empty warehouses, artists and experimental bands. Invented Thing Quartet, is an assemblage of New England musicians, professors, poets, web designers, sculptors, artists, writers, adventurers, book publishers and gadabouts, who play a variety of junk, cast off and hand-me-down derived , homely, home-made instruments, noise makers, toys, tools and appliances, (with an occasional standard instrument thrown in now and then because someone wants to reminisce about playing a conventional and quite often prettier instrument). We have "intelligence- guided attitude" which usually makes for memorable if not spectacular performances. "...if I were on a desert island I would want Invented Thing Quartet there too!" Various forms of ITQ have appeared at clubs, colleges, institutions, parks, museums, town halls, homes and galleries, lawns and gardens.
